We met the APM project team – MD3’s largest client. And they dedicate 85% of their work to the French company!
APM is the Association for Progress and Management. It is an association that brings together about 8,000 company executives who want to develop their knowledge of entrepreneurship and learn new methods, practices, and technologies, always staying updated on the market.
This company wanted to start a digitalization process for its technologies (website, app) and contacted our MD3 for that purpose, in the development (databases) and image (design) aspects. This project follow-up started two years ago, in order to improve the exchange and communication system with APM members and animators. It continues today and has evolved at a good pace.
Working with an outsourcing team
In MD3 there is a professional team that dedicates 85% of its work to APM and is dedicated to developing all this content: Python programming, API development, data model creation, etc.
Led by the scrum master, Jonatan Pedrosa, there are four people working directly (APM project team) – António, Sara, Ricardo Pinto, and Sérgio, all of them in the backend area. Indirectly and in the front-end, web design, and tester areas, Ricardo Ferreira, Ana, and Joana also collaborate, respectively.
The best way to motivate is the challenge
With an extensive team, “the best way to motivate is the challenge”, according to Jonatan. “We can quickly get into a programming routine, but with some technical challenges, it allows us to escape that routine.”
To the question about the virtues of his team, Jonatan explained that the greatest quality is commitment: “We all dedicate ourselves to this project as if it were our own.
All employees enjoy teamwork and this facilitates the daily work and challenges. Virtually everyone points out that the APM project has improved a lot since MD3’s involvement. Now the users of the project have lighter technology, allowing for easier navigation and also faster. It is also responsive on all mobile devices, offering the modern touch that users are looking for.
This is one of our most important clients. APM ensures 40% of MD3’s business volume, which explains the importance of daily involvement in this project.
In the future new features may be created for APM. And of course, you will find a strong and motivated team to take the project to success!
